Timberrrrrr
Well, the lightening-struck trees came down in July, just as the heat set in fully. Sadly, that means there is still a “trunk” in my yard. I cleaned up all the messy branches, leaves, and such. I even trimmed off as much of the larger branches I could.
Unfortunately, one main trunk is under tension, sitting on a single large branch. So I need to bribe one of the local tractor drivers to hook a chain to it and flip it over. That’s the goal for this spring, for sure. Then I can finish cutting up the wood, restack all the little piles I have everywhere, and rent a chipper to shred up all the branches and debris. Still lots to be done.
