DC Pen Show 2025
August always starts with the DC Fountain Pen Show. And it was a great show this year. The crowds seemed larger than previous years, although the percentage of newer attendees vs experienced still seems skewed.
DCPS is also where I met my original “pen family”. Joseph couldn’t make it this year, so Charlotte and I improvised our annual picture by “including Joseph” digitally. Love this community. Unfortunately, DC is the end of our pen show season for this year. Always a little sad to see the year’s shows come to an end.
When I got home from the show, my new bible case and a case for my Liturgy of the Hours books had arrived. Handmade by Sarah Jayne Designs, these covers are made with certified Harris Tweed fabrics, and are wonderfully beautiful, perfectly protecting my treasured books, and totally worth the price. I actually have 2 other covers, but each cover is made to your specified dimensions to fit your individual bible perfectly.
Don’t drink the ink, my friends. And remember to always Spin the Compass.
